For our site in Barlborough, UK, we are looking for Machine Operators to join our Production Department.
Reporting directly to the Shift Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Work competently across different technologies
- Perform quality control according to cycle of control to ensure products conform to customer specifications.
- Perform technical cleaning of equipment.
- Preventative/Reactive maintenance of automated assembly lines as well as packaging & palletisation equipment.
- Support installation of new equipment/machinery and modification of existing equipment.
- Ensure there is always an adequate supply of assembly components and packaging available for each production cell.
- Maintain high standards of H&S practices and adhere to house keeping measures
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 3 years experience in an automated manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate and monitor a range of automated machines (primarily packaging & assembly)
- Basic mechanical fault finding and first-line maintenance
- Understanding of tolerances and quality standards
- Competence with production data recording systems or paperwork
- Ability to complete production to target output and quality standards
- Ability and willingness to maintain a clean and safe work area
- Ability and willingness to support continuous improvement activities
- Good standard of English language
